These high energy, interactive productions empower children to shape the story or sit back and enjoy the show. Customized according to the party’s theme or your child’s interests, each performance is entirely unique.
How does it work?
Choose a venue
ColdTowne is a fantastic place to host an event for kids and families. This professional theater has plenty of parking and a spacious lobby for games, cake and visiting before and after the show. Feel free to bring food, drinks and decorations. This is a popular option, so early booking is recommended.
ColdTowne Conservatory is a classroom space that works well for a more casual performance experience focusing more on interactive games and socializing.
B.Y.O.V. – “Bring Your Own Venue” We are happy to come to you, though may charge mileage outside of our area. It has been our experience that indoor spaces are best for these shows and interactive events. We ask that there be a spot that allows us to move around.
Design Your Show
Our performers are experienced improvisers who love the opportunity to create a story on the spot. We are happy to rely on the spontaneous suggestions of the audience for your show, but we are also delighted to adapt our performance to fit a specific theme. Examples of themes we’ve used in the past include Circus Animals, Zombies, Fairies and (for a very young birthday boy) the color green.
Let us know the age of the target audience and we will tailor our work to fit the group. We are happy to perform for any age group and have experience with audiences from preschool through High School.
Before and After the Show?
Prior to the show, we offer guests the opportunity to learn a series of improv warm ups and games that set the tone for the event and help audience members understand the nature of what they are about to see. However, it’s fine if your group prefers to visit instead.
After the show, at ColdTowne, guests normally return to the lobby for cake or other event specific activities. Remaining time can be used for a dance party in the theater or for socializing throughout the space. Obviously at remote venues it’s up for discussion.
This works best with a group of no more than 25 children. Additional adults welcome.
The show itself normally runs about 45 minutes.
Costs range from $300 to $450 depending on cast size and pre and post show activities.
