Improv Explorers

Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Harness the power of “Yes, And” to frame your funny and build your banter. With a focus on basic improv skills, this class develops a student’s ability to listen, collaborate and create on the spot. The result is hilarious and original comedy created and performed for each other and for an audience. Students will perform at one or more Excused Absence Nights. Class takes place at ColdTowne Theater. $215. Sundays, 1 to 2. January 21 – April 29. Final performance May 6 at 5 pm.

This improv class is for third through fifth graders

Exercises facilitate creating in the moment, taking risks, and nurturing a flexible mindset.  High energy and collaborative. Short Form Improv games will be at the heart of this class, allowing for bursts of creative comedy!

Students enrolled in this class will be invited to perform in one or more All Ages Night and in our end of semester showcase. Class takes place at ColdTowne Theater. $215.  Sundays, 1 to 2. January 21 – April 29. Final performance May 6 at 5 pm.

Scenic Improv

This improv class is for third through fifth graders.

Long form improv allows performers to create grounded characters and explore greater comedic territory. Based on ColdTowne’s adult curriculum, Scenic Improv is for serious young performers ready to take their comedy game to the next level. Though there will be plenty of hilarity, this class will ask students to stay on task and work collaboratively with others. Experience is less important than a willingness to learn. Elements of Improv is a better choice for kids who are high energy and need to keep moving!
