A movement based, early improv class that invites kids ages 4 to 6 to reimagine stories in big, hilarious ways. Together we work on basic performance skills, embracing one another’s ideas and exploring new ways to share ideas. This class is designed for wiggly children with a focus on the fun of moving through stories together. Showcase will take place at 5 pm the Sunday following the last class of each session at ColdTowne Theater. Meets at ColdTowne Theater. $215 Thursdays, 10 to 10:50 am, January 25 – April 19
An early improv class for kids with stories to tell. Create original tales and collaborate with classmates to bring them to life. Designed for children ages 4 to 6, Fable Frames incorporates basic improv principles to teach students to harness their big ideas and develop them collaboratively. Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Harness the power of “Yes, And” to frame your funny and build your banter. With a focus on basic improv skills, this class develops a student’s ability to listen, collaborate and create on the spot. The result is hilarious and original comedy created and performed for each other and for an audience. Students will perform at one or more Excused Absence Nights. Class takes place at ColdTowne Theater. $215. Sundays, 1 to 2. January 21 – April 29. Final performance May 6 at 5 pm.
